The Whole Watermelon

Oh What a Beautiful Morning

I love morning time. It's my absolute favorite time of the day.

For one thing, there are the quiet murmurs of sound, drifting towards me softly as I stir from my rest:

"Mom. I need a nunchuck."
"I don't know where it is."
"Mom, I really need a nunchuck."

"Kristen, have you seen the stuff from my back pocket?"
"I think I saw it in the bathroom."
"Where in the bathroom?"
"On the floor."
"Where on the floor?"
...
"Where on the floor?"
...
"Kristen, where on the floor?!"

And then there are the pleasant fragrant smells hovering in the air around:

"Mommy, change my diaper."
"Are you poopy?"
"Yes."

And last, but not least, there are the sights. The sense of discovery of all that has occurred during my quiet slumber:

To be fair, I only said "where on the floor" once, not three times, as I was digging through the piles of clothes. I like the boys' artwork. Isn't life awesome?

I respectfully disagree. It was at least twice. It sounded to me like one of those instances where I don't answer right away and then you repeat yourself a couple of times because you think I didn't hear you. You weren't as demanding as it sounds, but it has more dramatic effect they way I wrote it :)

And for any curious people out there, I wasn't answering because (1)I was stunned by the awesome sight of my shattered laptop at the time, and (2) I couldn't think of a way to be more specific about a floor location that's only a few feet wide.

P.S. I love you Mike :)

Oh snap! The boys did a fabulous job! What artists! :) There is nothing like morning time surprises.
